How to register as a Vendor
You may register with the City of Tallahassee as a regular vendor in one of the following ways:

The City of Tallahassee maintains a local business certification program to stimulate the local economy, within the confines of the Federal and State procurement laws and regulations and to further promote the utilization and participation of local businesses with respect to city purchases and contracts.

What are "Local Preferences"?
The City of Tallahassee has established a local Business Certification Program that provides a preference to certified local businesses in its procurement activities. Businesses located in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson and Wakulla counties and certified through this program, can receive a preference in City bids and contracting opportunities ranging from 10 to 20 percent.

What are "Charitable Contribution Preferences"?
In accordance with Section 2-92, City of Tallahassee Code, Ordinance # 06-0-47AA, bidders may qualify for a preference under this solicitation based on contributions made to health and human services agencies, which are qualified as such by the United Partners for Human Services, or the local United Way. To qualify, the contribution(s) must have been made within the twelve-month period preceding the date bids are due to be submitted and must be certified, on the form provided by the City, by the receiving agency.
